Our commitment to fostering innovation is evident in the achievements of our innovators. Ms. Shital Dattaram Zemane is developing a ‘Transformable Bed-Chair‘ for individuals with limited mobility, a project that has received PMAC approval and government funding, and is being prototyped under our guidance. Additionally, Dr. Nivedita Jena secured a ₹15 lakh grant for her ‘Claybiomix’ concept at MSME GoI’s Hackathon 3.0, with FMU-TBI as the host institute.
Fakir Mohan University – Technology Business Incubator (FMU-TBI): Fostering Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Genesis and Recognition
The establishment of the TBI centre at F.M. University received approval during the 191st Syndicate meeting on February 10, 2021. FMU-TBI was officially recognised as a Host Institute (HI) by MSME, Government of India, on March 4, 2022, following a review by a peer team from MSME, Cuttack. Further solidifying its foundation, FMU-TIF was officially incorporated as a Section 8 Company on December 6, 2023
Our Growing Ecosystem: Meet the Incubatees
Currently, FMU-TBI has partnered with five promising incubatees:
- Sicehern Techno Health Pvt. Ltd.: This was the first incubatee of FMU-TBI, signing an MoU on September 19, 2022. They focus on technology in healthcare and recently received a Startup Odisha Need-Base Grant of 23 lakhs.
- Oddbeans Pvt. Ltd.: Led by Mr. Abhinab Das, Oddbeans is dedicated to promoting innovation in the food and beverage sector, with a particular focus on the local coffee industry. Their MoU was signed on July 4, 2024.
- Scylene Wellness Pvt. Ltd.: Represented by Mr. Amit Kumar Sahu, this company aims to foster innovation in the health and wellness sector, including the development of wellness products.
- Bazarside Pvt. Ltd.: This company specializes in retail automation, working to empower local retailers through technological solutions, especially in tier 2, 3, and 4 cities.
- Bada International Technologies Private Limited: A leading online cab service provider, Bada International Technologies partnered with FMU-TBI on September 12, 2024, to expand its operations and offer convenient, affordable, and reliable transportation solutions.
